Mortal remains of Ann, Anjana to soon reach Kerala; Report filed in court against accused Anila

WASHINGTON: The mortal remains of Ann Mary Mathew (40), of Kesavadasapuram, Kakkanad Lane, Thiruvananthapuram, will be kept for public viewing at St. Mary's Jacobite Church in San Francisco tomorrow. The public viewing will be from 12:30 to 4 pm, US time. The body of Anjana Hari (35), of Mudikkode, Thrissur, was shifted to the funeral home yesterday. The bodies were shifted to the funeral home after fingerprint tests were completed.

Death certificates, embalming certificates, non-contagious disease certificates, and police certificates are required to repatriate the bodies of Ann and Anjana. The steps for this have been initiated. The relatives of both will return to India only after all the necessary documents are provided.

Meanwhile, the police have submitted information to the court regarding Anila Baby (32) of Munnilavu ​​ Thazhackavayal, Kottayam, who was arrested in the case. The report states that the murder was carried out in a very planned manner using a weapon. The police report also points out that the murders were carried out heinously.

Anila stabbed Ann to death inside the latter’s apartment, and she later ran her car over Anjana to death. The three of them were best friends, and it is assumed that Anila’s frustration over losing her job in the United States led to the murders.
