KOCHI: The search at the residence of the district judge, whose 17-year-old son caused the Cheranalloor road accident, has been completed. The search, which began Tuesday night, ended at around 4 am on Wednesday. A luxury bike and digital evidence were seized in the seven-hour-long search. The family of Jayabalakrishna, who died in the accident, will move the court today seeking the cancellation of the boy’s bail. The family is also demanding more action against the judge.

Jayabalakrishnan's daughter Bhadra Keerthi said the other day that their plea would demand the removal of the judge from service. The police had said that the student involved in the accident is a regular car driver. The police also suspect that the bike seized during the search may have been brought for the 17-year-old.

Meantime, the judge told police that his son took the car without his knowledge. The boy's statement is similar to his father's. The boy also claimed that he had learned to drive by watching YouTube videos. However, the police have not taken this into confidence. The judge, who was reluctant to answer further questions, asked the police whether they had a court order authorizing his interrogation. The crime branch had also examined social media pages and other sources to determine whether the 17-year-old had driven the car earlier.
