Court grants anticipatory bail to Tini Tom on Ansiba Hassan’s complaint

KOCHI: The court has granted anticipatory bail to actor Tini Tom on the complaint of actress Ansiba Hassan. The Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court granted bail to the actor in the case registered by the Kadavanthra Police. The case was registered against Tini Tom on charges including insulting womanhood and for his communal remarks.

Ansiba had moved the court mentioning delay in police action on her complaint against Tini Tom. The case was registered against Tini Tom following the intervention of the court. Tiny Tom filed anticipatory bail plea pointing that he has been cooperating with the investigation and had appeared before the authorities the very first time he was summoned for questioning. The court then accepted the plea.

The incident that forms the basis of the complaint allegedly happened on February 13 during a rehearsal held as part of the AMMA family gathering at the Kadavanthra Regional Sports Centre. The FIR said Tiny Tom spoke to Ansiba in an obscene manner and that he used sleazy words.
