Fishing after poisoning river: Large numbers of fish found floating dead in tributary of Chaliyar

KOZHIKODE: There was an attempt to catch fish by poisoning the river at Muttiyara in Ramanattukara. The poison was mixed in the tributary of the Chaliyar. Reports say that large numbers of dead fish were found floating in the river. When the locals arrived, feeling suspicious, the gang fled. The vehicle and the net used by the accused have been seized. One who came to help the gang has been taken into custody. An investigation has been started in the incident.
