Rs 671 business-class journey! KSRTC Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam Executive Service from August 20th

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC's second executive class bus will start running on the Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam route from the 20th. The ticket fare is Rs 671.

The bus, departing from Thiruvananthapuram at 5.30 am, will reach Ernakulam at 9.45 am. The journey time is 4.15 hours. It has 31 seats.

There will be stops at Kollam, Alappuzha and Thoppumpady. The bus will return from Ernakulam at 5.30 pm and reach the capital at 9.45 pm. The timings of both services have been arranged after the Vande Bharat Express.

Swift employees will be deployed in the bus. Another bus purchased along with this has started service on the Alappuzha-Bengaluru route. KSRTC announced that this is the first transport bus in the country to be built on the model of an aeroplane's business class. Each passenger has separate digital display facilities and mobile phone charging points. There are also toilet facilities and a pantry for food distribution.
