KOZHIKODE: Raising concern, a person with suspected Nipah symptoms was admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode. The swab of the Feroke native was sent for PCR testing. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan, meanwhile, responded to the issue. He said that there was no reason to worry.

K. Muraleedharan said the Shigella outbreak is currently under control and that the report will be received within two days. Concerns are rising about whether the Shigella outbreak in Koliyadi has entered the second stage. Earlier, only the children and teachers of the school were showing symptoms. Now, suspicions have been raised after the relatives of some of the children also showed symptoms. The minister also announced that the nursing posts will be increased in the Kozhikode Medical College Super Speciality.
