ALAPPUZHA: Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan lashed out at the Enforcement Directorate in the monthly payment case. Pinarayi Vijayan said that the witch-hunt against him has been going on for a long time. Pinarayi pointed out that the ED aims to trap him but mocked that the central agency is yet to find anything serious to move against him.

Pinarayi Vijayan was speaking at an event organised by the party in Chengannur.

"The money was paid for the services provided. It is not a secret matter. All the taxes related to this have been paid. It is all in the records. At that stage, Riyas was not Veena's husband. Now the ED is saying that this money was kept for Riyas, who became her husband years later. When an agency like the ED takes such a shameful stand, the media is making a big fuss about it. Your anger and hatred will not be sufficient to put an end to my life. I will face this politically and legally. That is all I have to say now," Pinarayi said.
