Police allege blade attack during protests; to register case after examining CCTV

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A clash broke out during a secretariat march staged by the SFI against the fee hike in the cooperative education sector. There are also allegations that protesters attacked the police with blades during the march. The police have informed that a case will be registered in the incident.

The police used water cannons towards the protesters when the march turned violent. A clash broke out between the police and the activists. The police also resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the violent protestors. Blades have been recovered from the place where the protests were staged. The police said the protesters used these blades to attack them. Police said they will examine the CCTV and camera footages to find out who brought the blades.
