YouTuber by day, troublemaker by night; Youngster unleashes violence against police, arrested

KATTAKADA: A popular YouTuber 'broke character' to make a daring move, entering the Aryanad police station and attacking the police officials. Uzhamalakkal native Yadukrishnan (23), a popular name on Instagram and YouTube, went rogue on Saturday night, creating panic in the area.

After arriving at the station, Yadu broke the jeep's wireless set and then smashed an iron chair on the head of CI C. Devarajan (50).

The incident took place at around 10.30 pm the previous night. Yadukrishnan, who had arrived at the station inebriated and with a bottle of alcohol, misbehaved with the police and broke the bottle. He also broke the jeep's wireless set. When the police tried to arrest him, he ran away and hid in a nearby hospital. Yadukrishnan then entered the doctor's cabin, CI Devarajan tracked him down and questioned his atrocious act.

Enraged by this, Yadukrishnan hurled expletives and grabbed an iron chair from the cabin and smashed it on the officer’s head. The senior officer was seriously injured on the forehead and was admitted to the hospital. The head wound required six stitches. The police then arrested Yadukrishnan.

According to police, Yadu is a troublemaker in the area involved in other cases. The youngster had been taking treatment for mental instability from time to time.

It was found that Yadu recently posted videos threatening police officers on his phone and even admitted that he may commit suicide soon.
