SFI clash in capital city; Unexpected shuffle in Cantonment police

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amidst the SFI clash controversy in the capital city, an unexpected shuffle has occurred in the Cantonment Police. Cantonment circle inspector Satheesh Kumar, who was in an open confrontation with SFI leaders, has gone on leave. Sub inspector Gokul Gopal has been sent for training. The city police commissioner had earlier summoned the two and sought an explanation from them. The changes followed shortly after.

The commissioner explained that SHO Satheesh has gone on a day's leave. The Commissioner also explained that sub inspector Gokul was sent for POCSO training. Narcotic circle inspector Shafi, who previously held the charge of SHO, has been given the temporary charge.
