Strike on road: Case registered against entrepreneur

KOTTAYAM: Police have registered a case against Shajimon George, an expatriate entrepreneur who staged a protest in front of the Manjoor Panchayat office for denying the building number. After Shajimon left for the UK, the police sent him a notice asking him to appear for questioning. Shajimon staged the protest on November 7.

The police registered the case on the grounds of obstruction of traffic, public nuisance, trespassing in the panchayat compound etc. Shaji said that he received a WhatsApp message from the police asking him to appear at the station at 10 am on November 17. He alleged that the police hid the matter of FIR registered on the day of the incident. Shaji said that he would take further action after consulting the lawyers.
