Technical snag in EPOS server halts ration distribution in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The distribution of ration has been disrupted in Kerala. The disruption was caused by a technical snag of the EPOS server. The customers who arrived at the ration shops early Thursday morning are facing severe difficulties. Many who stood in queues for hours had to return empty-handed as the distribution came to a complete halt.

Reports say that as the server of the EPOS machines are outside Kerala, the glitch in the machines cannot be resolved quickly. Ration shop dealers said that there is presently no clarity on when the technical issue will be fixed and when the distribution can be resumed.
