Two-year-old boy dies after falling into watery pit at home

KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old boy died after falling into the watery pit near their house. The dead is Masin, son of Noushad of Padinjare Moosakandy House at Kannankadavu in Kappad. The incident happened Saturday noon. Following the rain, water from the road flowed into the courtyard of their house and a small pit was formed. The child accidentally fell into this puddle.

His family was inside the house when the incident happened. No one noticed this in the beginning. They saw the child lying in the water after some time. He was immediately admitted to a nearby private clinic and later to a private hospital in Kozhikode, but the child died at 10 pm while undergoing treatment. The child's body was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
