Vishnu’s organs to give fresh lease of life to four, green protocol for ambulance

KOZHIKODE: A 20-year-old youth who was declared brain-dead after suffering from cerebral haemorrhage has given a new lease of life to four patients through organ donation. The organs of Vishnu of Iringal in Kozhikode will be donated to patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. His kidneys will be taken to Kottayam Medical College Hospital from Kozhikode MIMS Hospital. The police are making arrangements for a green corridor for the smooth journey of the ambulance.

The orangs are being transported in the ambulance bearing the registration number ‘KLO5BB 5596’. Vishnu died yesterday due to a brain hemorrhage. Vishnu was admitted to the hospital on July 6 following headache. He was declared brain dead due to brain hemorrhage. His liver, one kidney and the cornea will be donated to patients in various hospitals in Kozhikode. Vishnu was a hotel management student.
