THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister Suresh Gopi praised the Priyadarshini scheme of KSRTC, which allows free travel to women passengers in Kerala. The Union Minister of State wished success to the novel scheme introduced in Kerala.
Suresh Gopi's positive response comes at a time when the state BJP is openly rebelling against the delay in introducing the scheme. Suresh Gopi said that it is a new dawn and a new dream for women of the state.
"These days, more women than men go out for work and household needs. This was not the case in the past. It is in this context that such a system is being prepared for women. I wish them great success in everything. I pray that the scheme continues.
The project has been partially or fully implemented in many states in the country, considering the economic status. The scope will increase further as the economic situation improves. CP John is more knowledgeable in economics than in transportation.” Suresh Gopi said that the Chief Minister and CP John will jointly bring the transportation sector to a good path, and both of them have the strength to do so.
