
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The rain warning in Kerala has been changed due to the formation of an extreme low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. According to the updated forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, a yellow alert was issued in seven districts today. The possibility of heavy rain has been predicted in these districts.
The Meteorological Department informed that there is a possibility of rain in Kerala after the extreme low pressure area located over the north-west Bay of Bengal and the West Bengal-north Odisha coasts has intensified into an extremely severe low pressure area. In addition, a cyclonic circulation is located over the east Arabian Sea and the nearby Konkan coast. Therefore, the possibility of light to moderate rain has been predicted in the state till the 31st of this month.
