THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Football fans in Kerala will have the opportunity to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on the big screen, with the state government announcing live screenings at select theatres.
Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Cinema P.C. Vishnunath confirmed that the title clash between Spain and Argentina will be broadcast at theatres managed by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC).
The match, which will be held at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States, is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 AM (IST) on July 20.
The live screenings will take place at the Kairali-Sree theatre complexes in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. According to the government, tickets for the event will be sold at standard rates.
The initiative follows requests from the local football community, aiming to provide fans with a collective, stadium-like experience for the tournament's final match.
