Kozhikode’s ultimate double act, twin brothers Vaisakh and Vishnu, are taking sibling synergy to a whole new level.
The unstoppable duo are preparing to step into government service together in the exact same post, after securing back-to-back ranks in the Public Service Commission (PSC) examination.
The brothers have just received their official PSC advice memos to join the Co-operation Department as Junior Co-operative Inspectors. Proving they do everything in near-perfect harmony, Vishnu bagged the 58th rank, while Vaisakh finished right on his heels at 59th.
Currently working as junior clerks at the Chelannur Service Co-operative Bank, the sons of Mallika and the late Valsan, from Chalappuram Puthukulangara, have one big wish for their next career move.
The brothers hope to report for duty on the exact same day at the exact same time—though they admit this ultimate synchronised start depends entirely on their official appointment orders arriving together.
The uncanny similarities in their lives are nothing short of extraordinary. While they went to different schools and colleges for their Plus Two, Degree, and Post Graduation, their academic routines remained completely bound together. Once back home, they always studied as a team.
Their perfectly matched achievements include:
The high-achieving twins are currently sitting pretty on a staggering seven different PSC rank lists, including:
If their professional lives sound like a mirror image, their personal lives completely seal the deal—because Vaisakh and Vishnu also went ahead and married identical twin sisters.
Vaisakh is married to Dr. Sindhu Sashi, a researcher at Bharathiar University, and the couple has a daughter, Eithal Neora. Meanwhile, Vishnu is married to Seetha Sashi, a B.Ed student at the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
Despite the mind-boggling string of identical milestones, the brothers insist there was never a master plan to copy each other.
"We only had the desire to study. We never thought every achievement would be achieved together. It all happened coincidentally," said P.K. Vaisakh and P.K. Vishnu.
