'Almost married, but ended in trauma'; actress Thesni Khan about marriage

Actress Thesni Khan busted the popular concept of marriage and revealed that she was leading a peaceful life despite not getting married. In an interview with Kaumudi Movies, Thesni opened up about her concept of marriage and solitary life.

THESNI KHAN:

“I am not married but enjoying the best life. I am with my mother and there is nothing short of happiness in my life. The theory of finding happiness only through marriage is a sham. Today’s generation has accepted this but during my time, it was the total opposite. I came into the cine field with big debts and my only focus was to earn a decent living. In the hassle of making money, the years went by unnoticed and so did my age.

It is not completely true because there were some talks about my marriage. A relationship even got near to marriage but failed ultimately. It was at the last moment that we found that the groom was indeed a big-time fraud. The relationship lasted for just one month. Since then, I developed a fear of getting into any kind of love. Later I decided not to enter into such relationships anymore.

My childhood was not idyllic as my father had to take care of my family solely through the income from magic shows. I even remember instances when my mother had to sell her gold to pay my school fees. Both my parents came from wealthy families but it was my father’s stern decision to not rely on them to run our life. My mother used to help many people who were experiencing financial troubles.”
