KOCHI: Jagadish, actor and vice-president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), apologized for the delay in responding to the Hema Commission report. The actor said that he welcomes the Hema Committee report. Jagadish said a comprehensive investigation is needed if mentioned any name personally or not. He clarified his opinion at the press meet convened in Kochi.

However, don’t interpret that successful actors in the film industry have achieved success by following the wrong path. If an artist has stated that someone had knocked her door, then it should be investigated. My opinion and that of AMMA is that it is not right to discard by terming it as an isolated incident.

The question of whether this is not happening in many workplaces is irrelevant. It does not belong to a civilized society. Jagadish said that he is not ready to speak against the state government, but responded that they will have to answer for the omission of pages from the report. Those who have done harmful activities should be punished.

AMMA is not against the revelation of any names or them being punished. The gossip about others will stop then. Jagadish said necessary help to the court will be provided.
