CHENNAI: There was a big fuss over the appointment of astrologer Ricky Radhan Pandit Vetrivel, one of Vijay's leading and trusted advisors, as the Chief Minister's Officer on Special Duty (OSD). From christening the party name (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) to the timing of Vijay's swearing-in, it was Pandit who made the decisions.
However, after the decision to appoint him as OSD became controversial, the Vijay government was forced to withdraw the move. Now, Bigg Boss star and actress Julie has come out with a strong criticism against the government.
The actress's criticism video begins by mocking Vijay for his first 'scam' after taking oath as the Chief Minister.
“Anna...super, you have committed your first official scam. Congratulations. We believe in Periyar's ideas and oppose Sanatana Dharma. However, we respect your personal beliefs. We have never said anywhere that believing in God or praying is wrong. But we oppose the idea of showing God as superior over everything.
You are upholding your faith by giving the most important official position to an astrologer. That is your choice. But where does his salary come from, Anna? Isn't it the tax money of ordinary people like us?" Julie said in the video.
Along with the video, Julie has also included an old video of Vijay preaching at election rallies that he will not misuse people's money. As the video went viral, comments are coming in both support and opposition to Vijay.
Radhan Pandit predicted in 2024 that Vijay would come to power in Tamil Nadu. Vijay took the oath as Chief Minister on the 7th, on the advice of Radhan Pandit. It was an astrologically auspicious day. When the majority was clear, Vijay decided to take the oath at 3.45 pm on May 10, but later, on Radhan Pandit's advice, it was moved to 10 am.
