THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister P Rajeev opined that the Left's campaign slogan 'Who else but LDF' in the recent assembly elections backfired. The former minister said this created a different awareness among the people.

P RAJEEV:

“It is impossible to undo like in a computer. In future, such situations will be handled with more care.

The previous government should have taken immediate action in the Sabarimala case.

The allegation that the party did not examine the reasons for the defeat in the parliamentary and panchayat elections in the last five years is wrong. The party examined the defeat and proposed changes. But the leadership and members thought that the development activities during the LDF regime would help overcome the anti-incumbency. But it turned out to be wrong.”

While speaking on the topic 'Renaissance, Democracy and Development' at the National Seminar, P Rajeev spoke about the defeat in the assembly elections. He clarified at the seminar that the complacency and delay in taking action paved the way for the Left's defeat.
