
KOCHI: A newlywed woman was found dead in the bedroom of her house in Aluva. The deceased has been identified as Krishnapriya (24), a native of Madapillythazam in Aluva. She was found dead on Saturday evening. Although she was immediately rushed to the Aluva District Hospital, her life could not be saved. Krishnapriya's family members found her hanging from the window grill inside her bedroom.
Krishnapriya had got married in September last year. Her husband Sreekuttan works abroad. He had recently returned overseas after spending time at home following the wedding. Krishnapriya had gone back to her parental home on the 14th of this month.
Relatives said that Krishnapriya appeared happy even before her death. On Saturday evening, she had arranged an autorickshaw to go to Aluva railway station to travel to her husband's house in Thrissur. She had also brought new clothes for her sister-in-law's children and was preparing for the journey.
According to the family, there were no signs of unusual behaviour when she had lunch with her brother on Saturday afternoon. Aluva Police have registered a case in connection with the incident. Inspector K.G. Gopakumar stated that there are no suspicious circumstances in the death. The body was handed over to relatives after the post-mortem examination.
