THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Activist Rahul Easwar has hinted that he may contest in the upcoming assembly elections. He revealed that a major political party had approached him asking whether he was interested in contesting in Chengannur, Thiruvalla or Kottarakkara. Rahul Easwar said that he wants the Congress to win the election and added that it would be good for Kerala. He also said his aim is Hindu-Muslim-Christian unity, following the path of Mahatma Gandhi. Rahul Easwar added that his politics is reflected even in his choice of clothing.

Meanwhile, the woman who had filed a sexual harassment complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA has once again lodged a complaint against Rahul Easwar. She alleged that Rahul Easwar violated the conditions of his bail. However, Rahul Easwar claimed that the court verdict states the woman is not a survivor. He said he did not insult her through his video and that it was only a response to a video posted by her husband.

Rahul Easwar had earlier been arrested in a case related to allegedly insulting the woman on social media, following her complaint against MLA Rahul Mankootathil. He spent 16 days in jail before being granted bail by the court with strict conditions. The woman has now filed a fresh complaint, alleging that he violated those bail conditions. Recently, the woman’s husband had also come forward with a complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA.
