KANNUR: In a significant development, posters targeting CPM State Secretary MV Govindan and District Secretary KK Ragesh have appeared across various locations in Kannur. Attributed to a group calling themselves the 'Morazha Comrades', the posters were spotted in Dharmashala and Anthoor, voicing strong dissent against the party leadership.

The primary demand outlined in the posters is the immediate removal of the State and District Secretaries, alleging that their actions have brought public disrepute to the party. The posters specifically name MV Govindan and KK Ragesh, an unusual move that has reportedly sent shockwaves through the party leadership, especially given that these areas—Dharmashala and Anthoor—are considered unshakable CPM strongholds.

Sources suggest that this public outburst is a direct fallout of the Payyanur fund embezzlement controversy and subsequent disciplinary actions that left many party workers disgruntled.
