BB Gopakumar appointed BJP legislative party leader in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a key organisational move, Chathannoor MLA BB Gopakumar has been elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party in the Kerala State Assembly. The announcement was officially made by the BJP State President, Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
A seasoned politician, Gopakumar currently serves as the BJP regional president for the Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts. Prior to this regional role, he had a successful tenure as the party's Kollam District President.
Gopakumar's political ascent in the region is notable; he put up a strong fight in the Chathannoor constituency during both the 2016 and 2021 assembly elections, securing the runner-up position before his subsequent electoral breakthrough.
On the personal front, Gopakumar is married to Seeja, and the couple has two children, Gautham Krishna and Gaurinandan.
