Negligence of KSEB employees': Accident victim Betsan Babu dies while undergoing treatment

ALAPPUZHA: The man who was undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in an accident caused by the negligence of KSEB employees has died. Betsan Babu (43), son of KB Babu, a native of Thripperumthura, Chennithala, has died.

While workers were carelessly unloading goods from a KSEB vehicle on October 30, at 11 am, west of Kottamuri, Chennithala, Betsen Babu, who was riding a bike, fell after hitting a metal roll and a work tool which a worker was handling. He suffered serious head injuries, broken ribs and internal injuries. Although KSEB employees and local residents rushed Betson to the hospital immediately after the accident, the cause of the accident was not clear. The cause was later understood from the nearby CCTV footage.

Betson passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College Hospital. His mother is Marykutty. His sister is Betsy Jinu, a member of Chennithala Grama Panchayat. Wife: Susan Philip of Paruthippara, Thiruvalla. Daughter: Alvina Betson. The funeral will be held at 2 pm today at the St. George Orthodox Church Cemetery in Chennithala.
