Came to Prabhavathi in car on pretence of asking for directions; brothers arrested for snatching necklace from woman

MARARIKULAM: Police have arrested two brothers who snatched the necklace of a passer-by housewife. The arrested persons are Adoor Pallikal native Abhijith (22) and his brother Abhilash (28). The two stole the necklace of Kanjikuzhy native Prabhavathi (65), who worked at Thiruvizha Autocast on the 5th of last month.

On the 5th of last month, Prabhavathi was walking on the road near the Thiruvizha Fresh and Fine supermarket when the two came to her on the pretence of asking for directions and quickly snatched her necklace. They even attacked her when she tried to stop them. The police obtained the visuals of the incident by checking the nearby CCTV cameras.

During the investigation, it was found that the car used by the accused belonged to a native of Pathanamthitta. The accused were arrested based on the investigation of the cyber cell.
