Musician B Sasi Kumar passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: B Sasi Kumar, Karnataka musician and uncle of violinist Balabhaskar (late) passed away. H was 74. A native of Thiruvalla, he was staying in Varnam at Jagathy in Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram.

He was a staff artist of All India Radio in Thiruvananthapuram. He had received the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award. He had played violin for Chembai Vaidyanath Bhagwathar, Balamuraleekrishna and many other celebrities. He was born to M K Bhaskara Panicker, a nadaswaram vidwan and G Sarojini Amma. He will be laid to rest today.
