Abigail's abduction; Boss identified

KOLLAM: Police have intensified their search for a notorious thief and gangster from Chandanathope Kuzhiyam in connection with Abigail's abduction. His house and the houses of his friends were searched but he could not be found.

In the phone call made by the kidnapper lady demanding 10 lakhs, it was said that everything was as per the instructions of the boss. The police concluded that he is the boss.

In addition to many theft cases, he is accused in cases of quotation attack and extortion as well. There are five cases of theft in his name at Kollam West station alone. He moved to Chandanathope years ago from Moolankara near Ramankulangara. He has served jail time in a theft case. Neighbours told the police that he has not been seen much lately. His elder brother is lodged in Chennai Central Jail in a murder case. The elder brother's daughter is suspected to be the woman in the kidnapping gang.

List of 15 people prepared

A list of 15 people is being investigated. The investigation is mainly focusing on where they were in the last few days. The list includes those who have previously been accused in cases such as quotation and kidnapping.

'He is the one who came to the shop'

Shop owner Girija confirmed the sketch of the thief. Girija said that he was with the woman who came to her shop and borrowed her phone to call Abigail's mother to demand the ransom.

The police prepared a sketch of the person who came to the shop by collecting information from Girija. The man and the woman reached the shop at 7:30 pm on the day of the abduction. The autorickshaw which came from Parippally side then went to Pallickal side. Girija said there was no one else in the autorickshaw.
