Zomato delivery agents on strike in Kottayam 

KOTTAYAM: The delivery agents of online food delivery group Zomato are on strike. The Zomato agents in Kottayam City are protesting without accepting orders. They are demanding an increase in wages and waiting charges. The protesting Zomato agents have gathered at Thirunakkara Maidanam.

'We have informed the company our ten demands. The company has not been able to execute a single thing. We demanded Rs 10 per kilometer. Now they are giving Rs 5 or 6. Some hotels make us wait for an hour and they don’t pay the waiting charge. There arose a situation to talk to the hoteliers. They say who are you to ask? Workers from other areas were brought to Kottayam city to disrupt our strike,' said the workers said.
