'Desperate state of Kerala's online media'; Sana Althaf lashes out at online channel

Long-time love birds Hakim Shajahan and Sana Althaf, both actors in Malayalam Cine World recently got married in a modest way possible. On May 17, Sana announced her marriage news by sharing a photo with Hakim inside a marriage registration office.

However, just some days back, the couple arranged another function mostly for people within the industry and exclusively for their close family members to attend. Some videos and photos of the event have already surfaced on social media space. Against this backdrop, Sana Althaf took to her Instagram page to post her disapproval of the conduct shown by certain online channels.

According to Sana, no media were invited to the ceremony since the couple held to their privacy and never wanted the event to reach the public. However, some media wriggled into the event and filmed many videos to later post on Instagram.

“Media outlets had called and asked to cover the event but we politely declined. But it is deeply disheartening to witness the desperate state of Kerala’s online media and the blatant invasion of privacy just for the sake of views” Sana scribbled on her Instagram page.

With the actress coming out against the online media, many people on social media expressed similar opinions, admonishing the lack of ethos shown. Some also pointed to the intrusive nature of these channels and the creepy questions they usually direct at teen actresses.
