Youth abandons girlfriend at bus stop; Woman collapses and hospitalized

KOTTAYAM: A youth left his girlfriend at the bus waiting area and fled. Later, the woman collapsed and was admitted to the hospital. The incident took place yesterday evening at Manjoor Manvettam, Kottayam.

Both of them reached the bus waiting area at Manvettam Junction yesterday afternoon. The locals had seen the two talking. Meanwhile, there was an argument between the young man and the young woman. Then the boyfriend left the woman and escaped.

Seeing the young woman crying, some of the locals inquired about the matter but she did not respond. Then the locals informed the police. In the meantime, the young woman collapsed and was admitted to the hospital. Based on the information received by the police, the mother of the young woman from Njeezhoor was called and asked to come to the hospital, but she did not come. The police have taken the woman to a shelter in a nearby panchayat.

The woman is an employee of a private company in Kizhakkambalam. The lover is a native of Pathanamthitta. It is reported that the young woman went with her boyfriend a few weeks ago. Police have also contacted the youth. The police say that no more information is available from the woman. The police said that further action will be taken today.
