Policeman under suspension found hanging in police quarters

SHANGUMUGAM: A policeman under suspension was found hanging in his quarters. The deceased has been identified as Madanakumar (36), a civil police officer of Pattom Traffic North Station and a native of Parassala's Parassuvakkal.

He was under suspension for not showing up to work regularly and had been living alone in the police quarters away from his wife and child for months. The incident came to be known to the public on Monday morning when the police officers living nearby opened the window after smelling a bad smell arose from his quarters. After that, police from Poonthura station reached the spot and prepared an inquest and conducted a post-mortem on the body at the medical college hospital. After a public display at the Nandavanam AR camp, he was taken to his native Parassuvakal. Wife: Asha, son Devanandan (LKG student).
