Father, son die in collision of cars, three seriously injured

KANNUR: A man and his son died in a car accident at Mattannur in Kannur. They have been identified as Nawaz and his son Yazeen of Pariyaram. The accident happened last night at the Nelloonni turning.

Nawaz’ car collided with the car coming from the opposite direction which led to the death of the two.

Three others who were in the car sustained serious injuries and have been hospitalised. Though the passengers of the car were immediately taken to the hospital, the lives of Nawaz and his son could not be saved. The reason for the collision is not known. The police suspect that one of the drivers may have dosed off.
