Job fraud: Additional Secretary terminated from service

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KK Sreelal, Additional Secretary of the Public Administration Department, has been terminated from service for swindling around Rs 25 lakhs from 8 people by promising them government jobs. This incident occurred while he served as an Administrative Officer at Idukki Medical College in 2019-2020. He took the money from the youngsters by promising them government jobs in posts such as attenders and clerks.

Earlier, Sreelal was suspended from service after a preliminary investigation proved that he had taken money from the youths by offering them government jobs. The preliminary investigation was launched on the complaint of a victim named Abhijat P Chandran. Public Administration Department Additional Chief Secretary KR Jyothilal issued an order terminating Sreelal from service after a subsequent department-level probe also found that Sreelal had swindled money from the youngsters.
