Antony Perumbavoor came as a driver and then turned a capitalist. He came as a driver for an actor and later became one of the heroes leading the Malayalam film industry. Director and producer Aleppey Ashraf shares some of his experiences since meeting Antony for the first time.

‘Mohanlal had sought an ayurvedic treatment at the Coimbatore Arya Vaidyasala years ago. Only Antony, the actor’s driver, was with him at that time and he did everything for the super star. Antony gave him the medicines, made him sit up and made him eat food. The actor obeyed everything like a child. Antony performed many of the duties that a wife should do without hesitation.

Anna, didn't you see all this, would even a wife do all this? What a loving person he is. Lal asked me. With each year passing, Lal's trust and love for Antony grew up. Antony Perumbavoor interfered in every small and big things of the actor and he enjoyed it.

With the grand success of his first film Narasimham, new steps opened up before Antony. Getting FEUOK membership was the recognition that Antony got from the film fraternity. Antony and the actor’s auditor Sanal Kumar are the two people, who decide everything linking the superstar. If a Mohanlal film is to be made, the support of these two is a must. He will move forward only according to their decisions.
