NEW DELHI: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by a person during a padayatra in Delhi. The attack took place this evening in Delhi's Malviya Nagar area while Kejriwal was taking part in a padayatra with activists and other leaders. A man threw spirit on Kejriwal while he was walking with his supporters as part of the padayatra.
According to reports, the man has been identified as Ashok Jha. The police have taken him into custody and are questioning him. The video of the incident has surfaced on social media. The video shows the person pouring spirit from a bottle on Kejriwal and the activists and security officials stopping him. The attacker was manhandled by the activists.
