Five people killed in road accident in Karnataka; four deceased are members of same family

BENGALURU: Five people, including two women, were killed in a road accident in Vijayapura in Karnataka. Four of the deceased are members of the same family hailing from Aliyabad. The fifth deceased is a car driver. The accident occurred at around 5:45 pm on Friday at the Billeshwari Cross Road in Talikota, Vijayapura.

A large vehicle equipped with a machine for crushing sugarcane was parked on the roadside. According to sources, the car carrying the family crashed into this vehicle. The car was completely crushed due to the impact of the collision. Although the injured were rushed to the hospital, they could not be saved. The occupants of the car were taken out by cutting and dismantling the vehicle.
