Popular Malayalam serial actress Sreelekshmi Sreekumar tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend on Wednesday. The actress shared pictures of their wedding on social media. Sreelekshmi has been in a relationship with Jose Shaji for the past eight years.

Just one week ago, Sreelekshmi, through social media, revealed the date of her wedding and introduced her beau to the public. The actress even wrote about the struggles they had to overcome from being from different religions. Jose Shaji is a college lecturer with no involvement in the mini-screen business. Both started dating in their school days.

“We had to wait a long time to get permission and blessings from our family for the wedding. And now we feel like the wait was worth it. Our family is happy, and that is the best thing,” wrote Sreeleskhmi.

Sreelekshmi became a household name among Malayalees for her role in the television opera 'Kudumbavilakku'. The actress said she would continue acting even after marriage.
