Not Mohanlal or Mammootty; Jason Sanjay reveals his favourite Malayalam actor

KOCHI: ‘Sigma’, the upcoming film directed by Jason Sanjay, son of actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, is all set to hit theatres on October 2. As part of the film’s promotions, Jason Sanjay and the team of Sigma visited Kerala. A video of Jason talking about Malayalam cinema and his favourite Malayalam actors at an event in Kochi has now gone viral on social media.

Asked which Malayalam actor he likes the most, Jason named Dulquer Salmaan and Naslen.

“I like many people in Malayalam cinema. I like Dulquer Salmaan sir the most. Recently, I have also started liking Naslen a lot. I also like Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir. They are both legends. Recently, I watched a film called ‘Mollywood Times’. I really liked the film. Maybe I liked it because it is set against the backdrop of cinema. I watch a lot of Malayalam films,” Sanjay said.

Sundeep Kishan plays the lead role in ‘Sigma’. Farah Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj and Shiv Pandit are among the other actors in the film. A. Subaskaran is producing the movie under the banner of Lyca Productions. The makers have kept the story of ‘Sigma’ under wraps. The trailer suggests that the film will be an engaging action thriller centred around a heist, adventure and treasure hunt.
