'Power is an illusion'; Jathin Ramdas is back!

The first look poster of Tovino Thomas in Mohanlal starrer 'Empuraan' directed by Prithviraj is out. The poster was released on the date coinciding with Tovino's birthday. The poster also has the tagline 'Power is an illusion'. Tovino will be Jathin Ramdas in the film. It is reported that Jathin Ramdas, who appeared in a cameo role in 'Lucifer', will play a full-length role in 'Empuraan'.

Lucifer, the prequel of ‘Empuraan’ was released on March 28, 2019. Directed by Prithviraj, the film starred Mohanlal as Abraam Qureshi and Stephen Nedumbally. Prithviraj will continue to don the role of Zayed Masood, the confidante of Abraam Qureshi in 'Empuraan' too. Apart from them, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Sania Iyyappan, Shakti Kapoor, Indrajith, Sai Kumar and Baiju Santhosh will form the ensemble cast.

‘Lucifer’ was one of the biggest hits of 2019 and easily made it into the 200-crore club, a rare feat for a film in Mollywood. ‘Empuraan’ had shoots in Chennai, North India, Gulf and foreign countries. The first schedule was at Faridabad on the Delhi-Haryana border. Apart from India, the shooting of ‘Empuraan’ took place in around 20 countries like the UK, US, and Russia. ‘Empuraan’ will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
