Kerala Government reshuffle IAS officers: KR Jyothilal appointed Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There has been a reshuffle at the IAS level in Kerala after the appointment of Dr A Jayathilak as Chief Secretary. KR Jyothilal has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department from the General Administration Department. Bishwanath Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Vigilance Department, has been given full additional charge of the Forest and Wildlife Department.

Mir Mohammed Ali is the KSEB Chairman. Puneet Kumar, who was the Additional Chief Secretary of the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, has been transferred to the Local Government Department. He has also been given full additional charge of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Development, Backward Classes Development and Electricity Departments.

Dr Rajan Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, has been given full additional charge of the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department and the Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Official Language) Department.

Public Works Department Secretary K Biju has been given additional charge of General Administration and Transport (Aviation, Metro, Railways) departments and Land Revenue Commissioner Dr A Kaushikan has been given additional charge of Military Welfare Department and Guruvayur and Koodalmanikyam Devaswom Commissioner.

Water Authority Managing Director Jeevan Babu has been given additional charge of Resilient Kerala PforR Additional Finance Programme (Coastal Protection) and Asian Development Bank's PforR Project for Coastal Protection and Mission Director. Dr. Adila Abdullah, Special Secretary, Social Justice Department, has been given full additional charge of Special Secretary, Local Government Department. She has been relieved of the charge of the Women and Child Development Department.

Keshavendra Kumar, who was transferred from the Finance Department last week, has been reappointed as Secretary, Finance (Expenditure). Dr S Chitra, who was here, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Local Government Department and Officer on Special Duty. She will also have the additional charge of Principal Director, Local Government Department and Additional Secretary, Local Government (Waste Management) Department.

Rebuild Kerala charge also to Jyothilal

KR Jyothilal, who has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, is a 1993 batch IAS officer. He has been given full additional charge of the departments of Taxation, Public Procurement Advisory, Planning and Economic Affairs (RKI) and Chief Executive Officer, Rebuild Kerala Initiative. He is an experienced officer who has handled many departments including General Administration, Forest, Transport, Energy, etc.
