Manju Warrier, Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Asif Ali, Jayaram, Indrajith and Urvashi are the prominent stars who did not come to vote.
This is the first time that a woman has become the head of AMMA. Shwetha Menon won by 20 votes. While Shwetha got 159 votes, Devan, who contested against her, got 132 votes. Kukku Parameswaran was elected as the general secretary. Kukku Parameswaran and Raveendran were contesting for the post of general secretary. Lakshmi Priya was elected as the vice president. Lakshmi Priya, Jayan Cherthala and Nasser Latif were contesting for the post of Vice President.
There are a total of 504 members in AMMA. This time, there has been a big drop in the voting percentage. 357 people voted last time, and the turnout was 70 percent. This time, despite the tough competition, only 298 people voted, with a drop of 12 percent. This year's turnout is 58 percent.
