THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SSLC and Plus Two exams in Gulf countries, which were earlier postponed due to the West Asia conflict, have now been cancelled. The decision was taken as the conflict continues and conducting exams is not possible. An alternative system will be introduced in place of the exams. For SSLC students, marks will be calculated based on the average scores of the Onam and Christmas exams.

For Plus Two students, marks from Plus One will be considered. In addition, bonus marks will also be awarded. Certificates will be issued based on these marks. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the state Education Minister. Officials said it is not possible to conduct the exams within the scheduled time frame.
