SHARJAH: Malayalam film actor Mammootty offered his condolences following the passing of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, brother of the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi. The superstar visited the royal palace in Sharjah to share his grief with the members of the Al Qasimi family.
Mammootty visited the palace last Friday. He spent approximately 20 minutes with the family of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi before departing. He shared his sentiments with the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, and expressed his solidarity with the family in their grief.
Mammootty arrived in the UAE to participate in a stage show held in Sharjah. Producer Anto Joseph and expatriate businessman V.T. Salim accompanied him. Mammootty has long maintained a warm relationship with the UAE Kingdom. A three-day official mourning period was declared in the UAE following the passing of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi.
Mammootty also met Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Salem Al Qasimi, and Sheikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi in person to offer his condolences.
