THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Friday lashed out at Governor Arif Mohammad Khan for criticizing the anti-CAA resolution passed by the Kerala assembly. According to Kodiyeri, the Governor was playing a cheap political game.

Speaking about the Governor's criticism against the resolution, Kodiyeri said that those words do not suit his position. "The Governor is behaving like the BJP state chief and his words clearly do not suit his position. He must explain why he felt that the anti-CAA resolution passed by the assembly was illegal," he said.

Kodiyeri further added that according to a Supreme Court verdict, the Governor has no right to intervene in the powers of the state assembly. He also pointed out that the Governor should have gone through the Arunachal case of 2016 before giving out such statements.
