THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigilance has ordered an inquiry into the incident in which a woman KSRTC superintend allegedly spoke rudely to a woman conductor in a KSRTC bus when she was asked to show the pass.
The inquiry was ordered on Saturday against Neyyattinkara KSRTC depot superintend for allegedly preventing the conductor from discharging her duty.
A video of the superintend losing her cool with the conductor and refusing to show the bus pass had spread on social media and the action against her ensued soon.
The superintend can be seen shouting at the conductor when asked for the pass. Later when she is asked to buy ticket, she says, ‘everyone knows I’m the depot superintend … I’m not going to show the ticket…if you need ticket, you yourself buy and give money…I have given you the number of the pass…give complaint if you want…”
The incident happened in the KSRTC Fast Passenger bus that was heading towards Thalakkulaam from Adoor at 6 in the morning. The verbal duel between Superintend Maheswari and conductor Anjali took place at around 9am.
Maheswari had boarded the bus from Pappanamkode. Anjali went to the superintend after keeping her mobile phone camera on. The whole incident got recorded without the knowledge of Maheswari. The video came to the notice of KSRTC officials after the video became viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the Superintend has denied the allegations made by the lady conductor against her. “I had earlier given a complaint against this lady conductor as she ketp talking on her mobile and phone and didn't give tickets to commuters quickly. She has now created this trouble to take revenge on me for that…” Maheswari claimed
