NEW DELHI: BJP National President Nitin Nabin said the opposition, despite their heinous attempts, will not be able to touch the Modi government. Nabin made these remarks while speaking at a massive *padyatra* (foot march) organised by the BJP in Rohtak, Haryana, which coincided with the 'INDIA' alliance's rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Tens of thousands participated in the march, which was held under the slogan, "Protect Democracy, Eliminate Anarchy."
Nitin Nabin launched a sharp attack against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. Nabin alleged hypocrisy in Congress stance of crying foul at times of defeat while hailing democracy after winning in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka.
Nitin Nabin:
"What kind of double standard is this? Rahul Gandhi has become a tool for implementing the agendas of foreign powers—the very same groups behind the unrest and divisions recently witnessed in other countries. The opposition just wants a regime change.
In the Congress party, leaders obey the dictates of the family to which Rahul belongs. These leaders believe that even the nation's laws should be framed according to Rahul's personal preferences. If the Congress truly possessed any real strength, it would have put an end to the 'monarchy' within its own ranks and established democracy. Those who walk around carrying copies of the Constitution are the very ones tearing out its pages.
Driven by the frustration stemming from successive electoral defeats, the party is now attempting to weaken democratic institutions.”
