THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 5537 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, Health Minister KK Shailaja informed.
Among this, 4683 persons developed the disease through contact including 653 cases without an identified source of infection. 140 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 61 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 6119 patients tested negative for the virus today.
The state recorded 25 COVID deaths on Thursday with the toll rising to 1796.

In the last 24 hours, 57,202 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 9.68.
